Page Looping
Our new page loop creation function can build a looped survey flow for multiple pages based on a single base question. You could, for example, ask a number of standard questions for each of a series of products. This allows things such as surveys for product testing to be quick and easy to set up with all advanced functionality - flow control, data piping and choice linking.
Enhanced Page Navigation
Movement between the 10 most recent pages in your survey is very easy now - with "google-style" numeric page navigation controls on the top and bottom of every page (for surveys with more than 10 pages).
Current Page Preview
Ever wanted to find out what the current page will look like in preview mode without having to go through the whole survey? No problem at all - now you can preview the current page in the designer by choosing the option to preview the current page.
QR Code Generation
QR Codes (abbreviated from Quick Response Code) are one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes. They have become popular as a way of providing information such as Web URLs to mobile devices. They are therefore a perfect vehicle for providing survey links for anonymous surveys to mobile phone users. An appropriate QR Code is now automatically built for anonymous survey distributions.
Distribution Tags
"Tags" are already used in many places within WSC - choices, rows and respondents. They are a great way to add extra data that can be used within the survey. Now we have also added distribution tags - a great way to make surveys behave differently for respondents completing the survey under distributions. An example where this could be used would be including panel integration redirects on terminate pages. By using a distribution tag rather than a physical redirection URL, you can support multiple panels by using a different distribution for each panel.
Advanced Filtering
Our new advanced filtering system will look familiar to anyone who has used flow control or quota management in WSC. It uses the same intuitive UI to select rules for a filter. All valid filters are "attached" to a response as soon as it is submitted. Why do this? SPEED! This means filtering portals, exports or reports is lightening fast, irrespective of the filter complexity or number of responses.
On-Premise Version
Users of the Ultimate Edition of Web Survey Creator now have the option to upgrade to a full "On-Premise" version. They can host the software on their servers, or we can host for them. Slider formatting and functionality
Sliders are an important method of answering a survey, and we have continued to enhance our standard slider question to meet the needs of more users. Sliders now feature titles above the extremities of the scale (and optionally the middle of the scale) and there is also an option to have "click to activate" functionality - a slider is only considered to be answered once it has been clicked.
Respondent Management
Respondent handling has been significantly upgraded in this release - in part, as preparation for our forthcoming CATI module. New capabilities include the ability to import initial response data as part of a respondent import. Respondents also now have additional information on them, including their timezone, phone number and geographical location.
Choice Image Management
Adding, copying and editing multiple choices with images at the same time has never been easier. The flat text version of choices have been enhanced to now include image details. This makes it easy to copy and reuse a complete image list. Saved image lists now also can contain images.
Scripting Capabilities
The scripting ability in WSC has been further enhanced with access to more software features. The latest scripting enhancements include the ability to use respondent quotas in scripts - allowing you to make the survey work in different ways depending upon how full certain quotas are.
Our new distribution tags are also accessible through scripting, making it possible to affect scripting simply by using a different distribution with different tags.
Quota Management
WSC's powerful quota management system has been further enhanced with a quota regeneration capability. This allows you to add quotas after a survey has begun, and calculate how full those quotas are based upon the existing responses in the survey.
GPS Location Tracking
This release represents a complete rework of GPS position calculations for respondents of surveys. WSC now uses the industry-standard Geolocation API for calculation of a respondent's location. One major benefit of this change is the use of accurate GPS coordinates for surveys completed on mobile devices.
Email Management
Email management has been enhanced in a number of ways in the latest release. The sending interface has been reworked, Emails can be sent on behalf of someone (rather than WebSurveyCreator), and respondent tags can now be used in Email content.

Release 1.8 of WebSurveyCreator features advanced questions such as drag & drop and slider based questions, together with full survey scripting.
